So, who is madeline james?
The question we get asked above all others!  The name was inspired by our firstborn children: Brinley Madeline and Cody James.

What equipment do you use?
Julie shoots Canon, Arah shoots Nikon. Weird, right? But, it works for us. We like the texture and mix it brings to our shoots and ultimately your  photobooks, wall prints and canvas wraps.  We prefer natural light (who doesn't?) but are always prepared for a late nights and low light receptions with special backlighting and off camera flash.

What if something happens to your camera during the shoot?
We always carry backup equipment.

Do you edit all photos?
We do. We color correct ever image you receive and then use our creativity (and your input) to decide which photos to use additional effects and filters on.  Editing takes 2-4 weeks & 6-8 for weddings.

Do we get to keep the high resolution files (digital negatives)?
Every single one of them.

Do you offer printing services and photobook design help?
Absolutely! All sessions receive full rights to the photos along with an online password protected gallery, but we are happy to help with affordable high quality prints, canvas wraps and photobooks. Ask us for samples and price list.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and all major Credit Cards.

Do you travel?
Why, yes! We love traveling and being inspired by new environments.

What should we wear and what do we need to bring??
Blending colors but not getting to matchy-matchy is our best advice. Kids look best when they
are all dressed individually to match their personalities. Wear something you're confident yet
comfortable in, it will show in your photos. We can help you mix or match so bring what you
like: scarves, necklaces, hats, shoes...
